Implementation

Implementation

  1. Start your planning with a person who will be your co-facilitator.
  2. Find a location/site where you can conduct the group.
  3. Start recruiting caregivers for your group.
  4. You can either set a time for the group initially, or you can start recruiting and then find out what times are best for the people whom you recruit.
  5. If you want a group of 8, try to recruit at least 9.
  6. Keep in touch with the people you have recruited to notify them of the schedule as well as to check in with them to see how they are doing.
  7. Once your date and time are confirmed and you have your caregivers recruited, you can them start to work with your co-facilitator to plan your individual responsibilities. Some facilitators rotate weeks as to who will be the primary lead on the content. Others share the responsibility for a given chapter/week.
  8. Once your group gets started, remember to have debriefing sessions with your co-facilitator and continue to plan for the future.
